-
- No we won't because those of us that use it *LIKE* it! If someone asks a
- question that I have an opinion on, I am going to answer it. It is your option
- not to read it or disagree with it.
-
- B> the AMIGA newsgroups seems to be like a LONG, drawn-out info-mercial.
-
- Maybe that is because a *LOT* of people use and like Thor!!!!!
-

-
- I don't know what your problem is but I don't have to use a disk defragmenter
- every time I use Thor. I use Thor *EVERY* day and defrag my hard drives once a
- month. The partition that Thor is on is no more fragmented than any other
- partition that I use heavily.
-

-
- Yes there is a newsgroup for Thor and I do use it. If a person who doesn't
- know what news/mail reader he wants it is unlikely he will ask that question
- in the Thor newsgroup.
-
- The message you quoted was from a "newbie", maybe! The person that answered it
- did *EXACTLY* what you want.
-
- "There is! Try Thor 2.2. It's on Aminet."
-
- So what is your problem?
-
- I do have a cheap internet connection with unlimited time on adedicated phone
- line via dialup PPP. $17 a month, unlimited time, uncensored full internet
- access. I still prefer to read and reply news and mail *OFF* line. Before I
- started using Thor I had TIN, ELM, SMTPd SMTPPost, POP3, NNTPXfer, NNTPSpool
- NNTPPost, AmiPOP, etc. etc. It took all that to do the same thing I do with
- Thor and I still needed another program to read the QWK packets I get from a
- local BBS. Thor also supports most of the common BBS message packets in case
- you didn't know. And if you don't need that you don't have to install it. You
- don't even have to download it from the net. It is in a seperate archive.
-
- So if this sounds like an infomercial so be it. The Thor authors are doing a
- great job, are very helpful to all and provide a great program that is *NOT*
- crippled in any way even if you don't register.
-
- If you don't want to read about Thor then add it to your kill file and quit
- complaining.
